Abdullah Alajaji

Biography

Abdullah Alajaji is the founder of Driven Properties, a rapidly expanding real estate brokerage, investment, management and consulting firm operating in the Middle East with more than 100 real estate agents and offices in Dubai, Saudi Arabia and China.

Driven by his passion, Alajaji has transformed the way he sees his business, from an ordinary agency to a truly institutional act.

Realizing his passion for real estate development, Alajaji launched Lamar Capital Management, an asset management firm that specializes in real estate developments. Alajaji is also a partner of Unbox, one of the largest co-working spaces in Dubai, which offers other entrepreneurs the opportunity to work together and learn from each other's experiences.

Before launching Driven Properties Dubai, Alajaji gained extensive experience in various corporate and investment roles within prominent organizations in Saudi Arabia. Alajaji began his professional career at Saudi Aramco, the world's largest oil company, in the company's Corporate Planning Department. Later, he was associated with the company's Asset Management and Corporate Finance division.

In 2006, Alajaji joined SAMBA Bank, one of the largest banks in Saudi Arabia, where he was responsible for the bank's Asset Management division and with the Office of the Chief Economist. During his tenure at SAMBA Bank, Alajaji co-authored several research reports on the country's economy and the Saudi Arabian Stock Exchange.

In 2008, Alajaji led the positioning of MerchantBridge, a leading private equity firm in the region. He joined as Executive Director of the firm and was instrumental in raising more than USD $800 million for the acquisitions of groups in the region.

Alajaji has two bachelor's degrees in Computer Engineering and Economics from Pennsylvania State University. He has also completed his MBA at London Business School, specializing in Private Equity.
